There are different levels of Kundalini. Kundalini is the light of awareness that shines through us that gives rise to our conscious experiences. The source of that awareness is also the sense of “I” or the subject “I” to all objects. As the voltage in the body increases and evens out, it begins to cause the disengagement of encoded impressions throughout the body that bind us to projecting a world of stored impressions we feel as real.

The practice of this kind of Kundalini Yoga, which Yogi Bhajan taught, generates radiance, which suffuses, expands and deepens until it impacts with, pierces through to, the source of the awareness, which is Infinite Being and Light. Then you experience and abide as unqualified pervasive Being / Consciousness / Love.

As you practice, a process sets in, in which you begin to feel a sense of pause or hearing. You feel the Intelligent Force of the part of you that sees isolating in on itself, a sense of singular discernment that you feel radiating in and through the body and around the head. It brings the breath into abatement.

Eventually, you begin to experience jagrat-sushupti (wakeful-sleep), which means that the subconscious storehouse of impressions has been so cleared at you are also awake in what would otherwise be your dream level. When there are visions here, they are of an entirely different order than the visions projected by the mind, as you experience them within your field of consciousness and not in a subject object relationship.

Anyway, with this introduction, the series should be helpful. Now all you need to do is to start a Sadhana. You can go to the 3ho website and look up teachers in your area, take classes and gradually what is written about will be experienced, such as the penetrating spreading and deepening of radiance and the sense of singular intelligence that leads to steady abiding, which is the Knowledge (Union) you mention in your posting.
